Title: Re: why do metabolic pathways have to be regulated? Post by: duddy on Nov 2, 2011 Metabolic pathways are the cells way of essentially harvesting ATP from molecules and macromolecules, such as glucose and proteins. If these are not efficiently managed the cell will risk death.
