A patient infected with hep A has nausea and develops severe jaundice. Liver enzymes and bilirubin are four times the normal. The increase in serum enzyme levels are most likely the result of wich of the following changes to liver cells

A) Dispersion of ribosomes
B) Increase in lysosomes
C) Disruption of cell membranes
D) Swelling of mitochondria
E) Clumping of nuclear chromatin

I'd vote lysosomes would increase.

There are many possibilities for underlying causes which could result in elevated liver enzymes. It could be one of those, or any one of a number of other reasons.
