Describe the conditions of the natural environment in Canada, including air and water pollution. In what respects are these conditions a product of industrialization? As we move more deeply into post-industrial society, what changes will occur in our natural environment?

A good answer will include reference to water supply and air pollution conditions. Water quality in Canada is generally good by global standards, but the problem of pollution is growing steadily; pollution of streams and rivers has threatened plant and fish life and resulted in extinction for some species. Air pollution has resulted from automobiles and factories but has improved recently due to laws against heavy-pollution heating and improved technology. Concerns about pollution will continue as a result of our reliance on automobiles.
