Title: Kingdom Animalia
Post by: adinboy on Oct 27, 2013
So I know this kingdom has a clade called the Lophotrochozoa that includes the Platyhelminthes, Annelida, Brachipods and Mollusca. So from my researching I can see that:
Lophorates : Brachiopods
Trochozoas: Mollusca, Annelida

But I can't seem to find anything about WHY the platyhelminthes are put in the lophotrochozoa clade. They don't see some to have lophophores or trochophores....so why are they grouped in this clade?

HI

That's a pretty intense question. Lophotrochozoan phyla include the flatworms, which is what I think Platyhelminthes are.
