Ans: Students should have a good understanding of the three great philosophers of Classical Greece and recognize their connections and unique lines of thought. For instance, Socrates sought wisdom, and hence virtue, through inquiry but did not build a philosophical system as did Plato and Aristotle. Aristotle was a pioneer in the physical sciences as well as in the fields of logic, philosophy, and natural theology. He held that sense knowledge is not deceptive and that reality is the proper object of the human intellect, rather than the disembodied ideal forms of Plato.
