Title: Best way to breathe after running?
Post by: crazyfisges on Dec 7, 2013
So I am stuck on trying to figure out this question:

After running a marathon, what is the best way to breathe...deep and slow or shallow and fast? And why so physiologically, what does this have to do with gas exchange, lungs, etc.

Thanks!

don't stop walking and place your hands over your head to take slow deep breaths! make sure to breathe through your nose as the nose is essential to help regulate and control the temperature of the air
