How much of the Kidneys are covered by the ribs?
How far down in the abdomen do they go?

The kidneys arent located inside the ribcage, they are located just below your ribs, on your back.
If you feel along the area around the outside of your spine on your back just below your ribs, you should be able to feel a sensitive area when your press hard, these are your kidneys :)
sorry if that was confusing =/
