Title: Pbt- How Rhiobium absorbs N2 from atmosphere? Post by: barathvaj on Jan 14, 2012 My lecturer taught me the molecular mechanism about how Rhizobium makes interaction with plants and how it converts N2 as Ammonia. My doubt is
which absorbs the atmospheric nitrogen -Rhizobium or plant? How it is done? Rhizobium is a soil bacteria and it is a anerobic. .It cause Root Nodules under the soil. . Then,How atmospheric nitrogen is absorbed for N2 fixation? Plz clear my doubts. Title: Re: Pbt- How Rhiobium absorbs N2 from atmosphere? Post by: bio_man on Jan 14, 2012 which absorbs the atmospheric nitrogen -Rhizobium or plant? The bacteria does... It processes the gas from the atmosphere into a nitrogen-containing molecule I think that the root can freely absorb. Does that make sense? Title: Re: Pbt- How Rhiobium absorbs N2 from atmosphere? Post by: barathvaj on Jan 15, 2012 sorry,
I know that Bacteria is absorbing the N2 and converting into Ammonia, which is taken up by plants for Glutamine synthesis. My question is How atmospheric nitrogen is absorbed for N2 fixation?. I think I made my question clearly now! Title: Re: Pbt- How Rhiobium absorbs N2 from atmosphere?
