what is the difference between MN blood group and ABO blood group?

MN blood group codes for antigens M and N on red blood cells . and ABO blood group does the same by coding A B AND i antigen on red blood cells. but as MN blood group do not illustrate strong immunity so they are ignored in regular blood transfusions . while ABO blood groups are taken in consideration as the give strong immunological reactions

 :D.. so, it means on the surface of red blood cell, there are 2 types of antigen, the MN and the ABO,  depends on the genotype.... Lets say, if a person is codominant MN , and codominant AB, then that person will have antigen M, N, A AND B on the surface of red blood cell...  am I rite?

In addition to above, leaving out the Rh blood system, on a basic level the difference lies in blood transfusion.  The MNS antigen system are found on chromosome 4 and are IgM and rarely associated with transfusions while ABO blood system are usually IgM and is most important in human transfusion.  On a molecular level the difference lies in that the when determining phenotype/genotype the alleles for MN are co-dominant and the only phenotypes AB and O can determine the ABO systems genotype.
