Title: Which molecule(s) shown above is (are) ionized in a cell?

I'm a little confused about what it means that a molecule is ionized, is it just when an OH is attached to it?

An ionized molecule will generally have greater water solubility. I'm going to say A and C are ionized molecules due to the double-bond on the oxygen.
