This for physiology of organisms class.  I know its not a or c but can't seem to find the answer.

I thought the amplitude was affected by increase or decrease in stimulus.

I just assumed that less intensity leads to a smaller amplitude in the action potential wave. The strength of the stimulus must be very high in oder to ensure that the duration of the action potential is as short as the duration of the absolute refractory period. A stronger than normal stimulus is required to overcome the relative refracctory period.

Now I'm confused.

Sorry, I made a mistake on my first reply.  I know that the amplitude isn't affected by increased in intensity.  It just increases the number of action potentials.
