Post by: Richard Strophe on Oct 29, 2014 Recent estimates of the number of genes in the human genome range from 20,000-25,000 genes, and one analyses suggests that humans may have fewer than 20,000 genes. However, the number of different kinds of mRNA molecules is reported to be much greater. How do you reconcile these two different observations?
