Title: Question regarding graduate schoo- interest vs. reputation Post by: starhawks on Nov 2, 2014 Hello all, I am new to this forum. I am a senior in college currently applying to graduate schools. There is a professor at Temple whose research I am very interested in and who I have been in contact with. I am fairly certain I will get in and that he will want me to work in his lab. However, I have the opportunity to do research at other universities that may have a better reputation (not that there's anything wrong with Temple), but I am not quite as excited about the research at these other places. What would you all recommend I do?
Title: Re: Question regarding graduate schoo- interest vs. reputation Post by: bio_man on Nov 2, 2014 Stick with who you know. You might go to this other institution and absolutely hate the people you work with. Your style of research may be incompatible with theirs, too.
