Post by: sci_expert on Mar 19, 2012 Candida are eukaryotes, so many drugs will kill both Candida cells and human cells. Antifungals (specific to fungi) are also sometimes not possible to rid an infection, because some Candida strains are resistant to all antifungal agents currently available.
