Title: just reposting it!! please answer?? Post by: jjooaannaa on Nov 28, 2014 If all organisms originated in their present forms during a single event, Darwin wondered, why was there a distinctive clustering of similar organisms in different regions of the world? Why were all types of organisms not randomly distributed?
Why would living and fossilized organisms that looked similar be found within the same region? Why did the Galápagos species so closely resemble organisms on the adjacent South American coastline? Why was there such a diversity of species in such a small area? Could these species have been modified from an ancestral form that arrived on the Galápagos Islands shortly after the islands were formed? Title: Re: just reposting it!! please answer?? Post by: bio_man on Nov 29, 2014 Hello,
This might help you: theories (answer as many as u can pls) (https://biology-forums.com/index.php?topic=116646.0) Why would living and fossilized organisms that looked similar be found within the same region? Similar natural pressures makes it is possible that the living organisms are the evolved form of the fossilized organisms. For example, all animals living in the North have white coats -- Why? Because they had to evolve this white coat for camouflage. Hope this helps... |
