Title: Why did the PCR sample not show in this Electrophoresis?
Post by: yetiintheback on Dec 3, 2014
Typical Bio lab... We transformed e.coli to having the pGreen gene and glowing in the dark. You'll see on the photo the first column we used a MWS and the second column was the pGreen +ampicillin mixture and we were able to isolate the gene to show up. But on the third column it was the pGreen mixture but no ampicllin, so why didn't this isolate the gene so we could see it? Thanks!

If it wasn't done correctly, it won't be visible. I've run into this problem several times before. :theblues:
