Title: How do you determine whether a function is linear, quadratic, or cubic by a table? Post by: Camryn Walkley on Nov 7, 2018 How do you determine whether a function is linear, quadratic, or cubic if you just have a table of numbers to look at?

Several ways actually. Let's start with tables that are presumed to be linear. If the first differences of y's are consistent, then it's a linear equation producing that table Next, if the second differences are the same, then it's quadratic. Cubic is more of the same. Find the third differences. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBdA6ltSi1w |
