Is there one single method for calculating days’ supply for fixed quantity meds, or does it differ
by the type of med?

The basic idea for calculating days’ supply of fixed quantity meds is the same. You need to figure out how
much of the med the patient will use each day, and then figure out how many days the container of med will
last. Do this by dividing the total amount in the container by the total amount used each day. Once
again, the trick is getting both the total amount in the container and the amount used each day into the
same unit of measure. However, you will see that there are nuances to be taken into consideration for
different types of meds.
