Yes, because sound travels faster in certain metals than in others. Therefore, the container holding the liquid is important to produce consistent sound.

Depending on the liquid, the sound will vary since water has its own frequency. Similarly, the level of water is equally important because the vibration of the metal is going to slow down when more water is added, therefore producing a lower note.
