A. The Habsburg Empire was at war with the other nations of Europe. B. The Habsburg Empire and Austria ruled lands in Italy. C. Nationalism would seriously weaken the ethnically diverse Habsburg Empire. D. Nationalism would bring all the people of the Habsburg Empire together and perhaps rally against the emperor.
