Infinite, evidence shows that it continues to expand

Infinite, every day more and more spaces open up

Some scientists don't deny the fact that the universe is finite; however, the fact is our Universe is huge. Those who support the theory that the universe is finite tried to find evidence to support their point of view; however, these attempts have failed.  The majority of scientists tend to think that the universe is infinite. Here are the most widespread reasons:
  • It's flat. It hasn't been 100% proven, but it sounds right. If you travel in one direction, you'll travel there infinitely.
  • Universe is expanding. Even though the bigger part of our Universe is hidden from our eyes, the Universe's expansion is a fact.
  • Some scientists presuppose that Big Bag isn't a one-time event, but a continuous process. They mean new areas of the Universe, including galaxies, continue to appear now.

The main piece of evidence to explain its continual expansion is the red shift. The red shift is the Doppler shift of light wavelengths produced when an object is moving away from the earth. The phenomena is based on characteristic emission wavelengths of hydrogen from distance stars shifted to longer wavelengths (toward the red), and the ubiquitous observation that all distance objects display a red shift, not a blue shift; indicating all distant objects are moving away from the earth, or away from initial big bang
