Title: Determined the magnitude of the magnetic force on the conductor.
Post by: louist on Mar 4, 2021
A conductor 4.46 m long with 5.36A of conventional current is oriented at 86.4degrees. The conductor is placed in a magnetic field of 1.07 T oriented at 67.4 degrees. Determined the magnitude of the magnetic force on the conductor.

N=?
the direction of the magnetic force is:

Hi louist (https://biology-forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=974367)

Sorry, I haven't done magnetism is such a long time.

For a wire exposed to a magnetic field,F=IlBsinθ F = IlB sin ⁡ describes the relationship between magnetic force (F), current (I), length of wire (l), magnetic field (B), and angle between field and wire (θ). The direction of the magnetic force can be determined using the right hand rule.

Don't want to mislead you here, I'm not sure how it's done at the moment, but I can look into it and give you a more confident answer later. :sweat:
