Title: Medical doctors versus Ph.D.
Post by: bio_man on Mar 4, 2021
Most of use know the difference between a medical doctor and a person with a doctoral degree - the highest level of degree awarded by a university.

Some Ph.D.'s insist they be addressed as "Doctor", though many of us find it strange (or silly) because we've grown up associating that word with somebody qualified to give people medical treatment.

That being said, should Ph.D.'s be addressed as doctors or should another word be used instead? If so, what title would be more appropriate?

Some PhDs are worth more than others I believe. A PhD in math worked way harder than a PhD in education
