Hi hsedward (https://biology-forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1007511)

I used the fundamental counting principal here. They are not asking for probability or anything...

a) contain only consonants

H, L, B, R, T

5 * 4 * 3 * 2 = 5! = 120

b) begin and end with a consonant

5 * 2 * 4 = 40

c) begin with a vowel

2 * 5 * 4 * 3 = 120

d) I'm confusing by the way the question is written.
