Title: Digital fundamentals. Post by: Electronica on Dec 9, 2021 An Overview
This Lab should result in a bargraph voltmeter - it will display a representation of a sampled voltage > 610mVdc upto 4.7 Vdc - in steps of approximately 610mV. (At ~ 4.7 V all the 8 of the bargraph leds will be on). Review the video ‘complete _system’ on DC Connect in the Final Project folder - to see it functioning. - - - - Task 1 Referring to the Nano schematic - you need to add a potentiometer, to provide • the Analog signal, the source voltage should be +5v and a ground (refer to the Project Notes of Lab 8). To determine the wiper pin connection point on the Nano, by referring to the Visual Design Code of this project. • Now refer the Visual Design code provided the other output bits that need to added the Main LOOP function - they have already been defined in the SETUP function. Refer to the SA function (Do Not Edit) on the second code page ‘Conversion’. After completing the above modifications - build and test using simulation - you see the appropriate bits change state as the potentiometer voltage changes by ~ 610mV - - - - Conclusion, you implemented a MCU & FPGA based voltage meter - this utilized a trim-pot and an A-D input, your finalized code created an Led bargraph - each segment of the bargraph represents ~ 610mV.
