It is evidence-based, meaning it is based on what research shows us about how children grow and learn, and it is made up of many distinct aspects or elements. When these factors come together, they form a framework that helps early childhood educators guarantee that children receive standards-based, entertaining, and challenging experiences that are developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate.
