Phonology can be described as the study of language sounds (rules for a language about how words can be made; what combinations of the sounds can be made in a particular language, etc.), whereas Morphology can be defined as the study of patterns or rules of word formation.

Morphology focuses on morphemes; morphemes are things like prefixes, suffixes and base words, which are defined as the smallest meaningful units of meaning.

Hope that helps!
