Mary Wollstonecraft, a British philosopher and writer, believed that both women and the rich faced similar obstacles in terms of their education and socialization. In her view, both groups were taught to prioritize superficial values such as beauty and wealth, rather than being encouraged to develop their intellectual abilities and moral character. This, in turn, limited their potential for personal growth and contributed to their oppression in society. Wollstonecraft argued that women, like the rich, needed to be better educated in order to overcome these obstacles and attain equality with men.
