Suppose that sample of beef broth initially contains 16 bacterial cells. After 4.0 h, there are 1.6 x 106 bacterial cells in the sample. Calculate the growth rate of the bacterial population for the given time interval.
(Record your answer in scientific notation:  x  X  10n )

I guess it would be 1.6 X 10^6
