Title: Provide two reasons why the white spruce may out-compete the lodgepole pine.

Provide two reasons why the white spruce may out-compete the lodgepole pine.

My line of thinking revolves around:
The white spruce is using the favourable environment (sunlight) more efficiently; thus grows at a faster rate, taking more area away from the lodgepole to thrive.

Anything to add? Thanks.

Sure, that works...
