Title: What do you think of this?
Post by: Frank_Baker on Jun 3, 2015
I said something along the lines of ''you shouldn't trust Wikipedia. It even says a fever can cause you to catch fire. Nonsense''.

She replied: ''It can, ffs, it's called sponaneous combustion, and a girl died of it in the town i used to live in, whilst in college.

Live a few more years, keep your ego under your hat, and you might realise was a silly boy you sound.''

I said: ''show me proof. If people can catch fire from fevers why is it that cellular metabolism ceases at only 60 C?''

Then, she replied ''Oh i see, college/uni know it all.
That is all''
She said ''it was in 1982. How can I? The internet didn't exist back then!''

''She was in a lesson in college (and going by your name, you would probably have heard of the college, but its not leeds), she came out of class, got halfway down the stairs, and just burst into flames.

A cousin of mine was there, she thought someone had set her on fire, then it came out in the ortopsy report.

I've no reason to lie to you.''

She also cited the one about the Irish coroner, the Galway incident.
She also said there's apparently been cases where people's skin got hot and emitted smoke. She said there was a case in the 90s of a woman whose back suddenly felt hot, and released so much smoke her husband had to turn on a fan. afterwards her back was red and had blisters on it.

You shouldn't believe her because this phenomenon is made up. It's a superstitious belief, no different than believing in unicorns. You should really stop wasting your time with this idea.

I was on Facebook and HowStuffWorks just posted 'How Spontaneous Human Combustion Works'
HowStuffWorks is a credible website

I've seen documentaries on SHC and trust me it's still an unexplained mystery
It still makes the news occasionally and nobody says it's a myth.

Frank, get over it. Believing it's fake will help you sleep better at night. We've been going back and forth for about a year discussing its legitimacy. Most members have given up on you, and this is evident by number of responses you get whenever you start another topic on it. I seriously think you should give it a rest - it defies logic, it defies science, and it defies nature. How much more proof do you need? If I told you I saw an alien spacecraft, would you believe me? How about if a few people around the globe said the same thing?

Yeah but they can't all be lying can they? Claiming they're all lying is as illogical, nobody is omnipotent so you can't know for sure they are lying. for all we know their experience could be real

only recently was it discovered the immune system is connected to the brain, this was thought of as impossible until very recently

Given the miniscule number of individuals that have experienced this (and survived) and to speak of it, we can assume it's fake. We can only do our best to learn how a burn victim died with an autopsy of the corpse.

so? that doesn't mean it's biological impossibility

It's just as likely as levitation.

but spontaneous levitation without magnets is impossible.
there have been no reports of spontaneous levitation.

but spontaneous levitation without magnets is impossible.
there have been no reports of spontaneous levitation.

And if a few people admitted to it, would it hold any merit then?

so? people cannot seem to answer my question. is shc biologically possible?

I did, and we discovered it is impossible.

Stop deluding yourself. If you continue moving in this direction, and not provide new arguments for your claim, you leave me no choice but to lock your threads.

Give it a rest already. I looked through your posts and all you do is post about crap that has no evidence to support AND you post the same thing in other threads. If you are a science hater or a troll, hate in peace. Either way, you've worn out your welcome.
