Title: Does anyone else out there have Neurally Mediated Hypotension or G6pd Blood deficiency ?
Post by: fisher 2012 on Feb 8, 2012
I have had both these disorders for  3 years now and was wondering if anyone else would like to share their story with me who has it? I know how hard it can be to go through life like this and I am SO interested to see what other people do to cope and get through it. Thanks everyone :)

G6PD deficiency is an inherited deficiency in an enzyme that causes destruction of red blood cells following exposure to certain foods, drugs, or chemicals, or following illness. G6PD deficiency is X-linked, which means it occurs in males, but it is possible that female carriers could have symptoms. When your red cells are destroyed, your bilirubin level rises.
Since it is inherited, other members of your family may have it and not know, and you can pass it on to your children.
Anyway it is always good for you to follow diet restrictions unless you feel that you're cured.
Take care always
