Title: How to balance acidic reaction using the half method?
Post by: irina on Sep 3, 2012
KMnO4 + H2SO4 + NaHSO3 -> MnSO4
I get stuck when balancing the overall charge using electrons on the 2 half reactions. If someone could please explain the steps needed to balance using the half reaction method and explain to me how we find the overall charge on either side of the arrow when balancing with electrons, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks
I don't get how you got a charge difference of 2e- on the right side of the equation. That was my main concern
