Title: How would the immune system response to affected if macrophages were absent?
Post by: angie19 on Nov 25, 2015
#1) how would the immune system response to affected if macrophages were absent?

A) the immune response would be the same, as other phagocytes will engulf and ingest the invading pathogens
B) antigens would not be presented to the T-cells, making it difficult to identify the pathogen
C)'memory T cells would retain the memory of the current infection for rapid response to the future
D) the immune system would fail to make the distinction between the self and foreign cells

#2) events involved in an immune response to hepatitis B vaccination
(The order in which the events numbered below occur in an immune response)

1- memory T cells are produced
2-helper T cells are produced
3- hepatitis B antigens enter the body
4- B cells secrete antibody molecules

First one I know is:3,___,____,____

#3) If a patient is given wrong blood type, the patients immune system attacks the foreign blood accordingly. Describe the EIGHT steps that would involve antibodies and be part of this attack

#4) how can we limit the spread of Malaria, Enola, and measles through public health education? Provide an answer using 1-2 sentences for each disease

All of these diseases are caused by viruses. The way to prevent an outbreak is to vaccinate people when they are young so that they produce an immune response and can tackle the pathogens later on in life.
