Title: what does the feedback mechanism of the enzyme Pepsin entail and how does it maintain homeostasis?
Post by: smitty2 on Sep 2, 2012
a research task for year 11 Biology and asks us to explain the implications of how changes in the body can effect the function of this enzyme. i am assuming this means temperature, pH and acidity, though im not sure how it occurs directly.

thanks

cephalic stimulation (such as thoughts of food, smell of food, etc.) can trigger the enzyme to be released. To the second degree, the food entering your stomach, and the stretch of the smooth muscle cause even more of the enzyme to be released.
