Title: How does pH affect enzyme activity? what does pepsin and trypsin have to do with it?

just want to know what the question implies but any extra or specific information about the inner workings of these things would be nice

PH's can alter enzyme activity and/or denature the enzyme meaning it will not work

Most enzymes will only function within a very specific pH range.  Any pH outside that range will destroy the enzyme's function by disrupting its structure.  Pepsin will only function at a pH of about 1.5-2 (in the stomach);  trypsin functions in the duodenum, where the pH is about 8-8.5.

Because if an enzyme is not at the optimum ph then it can begin to denatured and the chemical reaction cannot accur.. 1-6.9 is where ph is on a ph scale. 1 being the strong and 6.9 being weak.
