I need to explain the importance of audits and why a white cap audit is so very important. I also need to explain the pros and cons to having the audit done in house or having an outside company coming into do the audit. Any help would be appreciated. White Cap audits are Internal audits that are done to check medical coding and billing for fraud. Black Cap audits are external audits that are done for the same thing, except the hospital will pay dearly for this kind of audit!
