Title: How is hypothyroidism a genetic trait? In other words, is it a dominant trait, recessive trait or is it incomp?

incomplete dominance? Or is due to a lack of chromosomes or extra chromosomes?

Most hypothyroidism is not genetic, but an infantile form is an autosomal recessive trait.  It occurs with normal chromosome number and incomplete dominance is not a factor.
