Title: Is there a nonpolar liquid that will dissolve ionic compounds or polar covalent compounds, but not both?
Post by: illmatic118 on Sep 18, 2012
I am doing a lab to determine if an unknown substance is ionic or covalent. Nonpolar liquids dissolve ionic but not nonpolar covalent, however I am trying to figure out how to tell between ionic and polar covalent. If you could cite your source I would apperciate it.
