Post by: onemustfall! on Sep 24, 2012
Reactants:
-Water
-Oxygen
-Sugars
-Carbon Dioxide
-Light

Products:
-Light
-Water
-Sugars
-Carbon Dioxide
-Oxygen

Out of these, what are the reactants of photosynthesis and what are the products?
*of photosynthesis and cellular respiration

Photosynthesis:
Reactants -->  Water, Light, Carbon Dioxide
Products ---> Oxygen, Sugars

Cellular Respiration:
Reactants --> Oxygen, Sugars
Products --> Carbon Dioxide, Water, Light

Photosynthesis' reactants and products are just the switched version of cellular respiration, and vice versa. By 'light' for cellular respiration, I'm assuming it just means energy.

The equation: [ Photosynthesis ] 6CO2 ( Carbon Dioxide ) + 6H2O ( Water ) + Light Energy = C6H12O6 ( Sugar ) + 6O2 ( Oxygen ) + Energy [ Cellular Respiration ]
