Title: Does a gamete have homologous chromosomes?
Post by: microlin on Sep 24, 2012
I assumed that gametes do not have homologous pairs because they are haploid, but the question on by biology homework is this:"If n=14, how many sets of homologous chromosomes will be found in gametes?"

Is this a trick question? I don't think there are any in the gamete, but I'm not sure. Help please, thank you!

it is a trick question

gametes are haploid so they do not have chomosome pairs= no homologous chromosomes.
