Title: [New Feature] - Moderators can now select the reason why they've chosen to delete a topic Post by: bio_man on Sep 8, 2016 It is standard for members to receive notifications when their thread has been moderated, i.e. removed. We've added a new feature that gives moderators more freedom when it comes to selecting why they've chosen to delete a topic (whether it be their own or any topic on the forum).
The process is the same, if a moderator chooses to delete a topic, a "remove" link is displayed at the end of the thread. Once clicked, they'll have three options: {Spam topic}, {Duplicate topic}, and {Just delete}. Each of the three options provides the thread starter specialized insight as to why the topic was removed. If {Spam topic} is chosen, for instance, the topic starter will receive an email stating: Subject: Spam topic removed: Topic title Message: A topic you are watching has been removed by {Moderator's name} because it appears to be spam. If moderators have any suggestions as to how this can be improved, post a reply. |
