Title: Micronucleus testing, stain too dark?
Post by: Wifey2myWifey on Oct 8, 2016
Hello there!  First time posting.  :)

In any case, we did a micronucleus test on rat bone marrow in class this past week.  I followed the directions to a T, and timed my staining to the second, with my slide in the Wright stain for exactly 2 minutes.  Still, most of my erythrocytes were too dark to see anything, and I ended up just searching for paler ones to find some micronuclei.

Any ideas why this might be?

Thank you!
Sheila
