Information-processing research indicates that by 3 months, infants can remember events for as long as 3 months and categorize stimuli.  These findings challenge Piaget's assumption that
A) object permamence emerges toward the end of the first year.
B) the emergence of language brings about representational ability.
C) infants are unable to mentally represent experience until at least 18 months of age.
D) infants are unable to distinguish fantasy from reality until at least 2 years of age.
