Title: If you were exposed to asbestos ?
Post by: julian2ham on Dec 6, 2012
45 years ago as a child and have no symptoms of mesophelioma. Is there still much possiblity that you might develope it.
And if you have parents that are in their eighties that have both been working with it for probably 55 years and definitely do
Not have it and were exposed to more than you. What are your chances. And along with the reasons of developing mesothelioma being exposer to asbestos does genetics and if it runs in the family or doesn't have any thing to do with it?

Normally it hasn't anything to do if your parents are working with it for more than 50 years. There is no genetic part which gives you the safety of not getting it at all. You're lucky so far, but I wouldn't stay along with asbestos, because every doctor can tell you that staying to long in the surrounding you could get cancer. Not necessary, but your chances are higher..
