Title: What's an easy way to define what is the number to use for C and V in C1 x V1= C2 x V2

How do I know which amount to use for C1, C2, V1, and V2? I have been having trouble identifying which piece goes where. Are there any easy tips on how to know which one is C1 and what V2 is and so forth?

Hi,

C1 = Initial concentration
C2 = Final concentration
V1 = Initial volume
V2 = Final volume

That said, what information have you been given?
