Post by: Othello2 on Jan 18, 2017 Eversion of the foot is when the moves laterally away from the mid line. The predominant muscles that move the foot into eversion are the peroneus longus and brevis. These muscles are located on the lateral side of the sh@# and wrap around the lateral malleolus. The brevis attaches to the base of the 5th metacarpal and the longus wraps around the lateral mallelolus dives under the foot and crosses over to base of the big toe. When these muscles contract they bring the foot into eversion.
