1. Please use the information from the slide samples to match the patient with their correct blood type.
Hint:
·  Remember that an Anti-A sera will clump with A anitgens on the RBC and likewise for other blood types. To ensure success on this question use your textbook to make a chart showing the type of antigen and anitbody in each blood type. The anti-sera is meant to simulate the anitbodies in blood plasma so clumping should not occur if people with that blood type already have the antibodies that are added.
·  The saline solution in the middle is a control for comparison.
- Remember that in a blood transfusion blood cells and plasma are added. This lab only simulates the addition of plasma.

2. If you were blood Type B, from whom could you receive blood from? Explain.

3. To whom could you give blood to if you were blood Type AB. Explain.

4. A sample of a person's blood was dropped on a slide in two spots. Anti-a antibody serum and anti-b antibody serum were added. Analysis of results indicated that only the anti-b serum caused clumping of erythrocytes (RBCs). Could such a person's blood be transfused into a person of blood Type A? Explain.
