Title: Does the impulse momentum theory support the idea that aluminum bats work better than wooden bats? Post by: nursing111 on Dec 17, 2012 I'm failing miserably at a phsyics project due tomorrow. Its about the impulse momentum theory. It states that impulse = the change in momentum, which is mass times velocity. But an aluminum bat has a lighter mass, which would say it has less momentum. I can't say a wooden bat is better; they aren't! Please help!

With less mass it can be swung faster. |
