1.  Which is more likely to occur, a change in blood vessel radius or a change in blood vessel length?  Why?

2.  Explain the effect that the change in blood vessel length had on the flow rate?

3.  Explain why you think blood vessel redius can have a larger effect on the body than changes in blood vessel length? (use blood flow equation)

4.  Describe the effect that obesity would have on blood flow and why?

1.  Explain the effect that pressure changes had on flow rate?

2.  How does the plot differ from the plots for tube radius, viscosity, and tube length?

3.  Explain why pressure changes are not the best way to control blood flow?

4.  Use your data to calculate the increase in flow rate in ml/mni/mm Hg?

A change in blood vessel radius is more likely to occur. These changes occur on a daily basis to accommodate homeostasis.


The increase in pressure resulted in a corresponding increase in flow rate. A decrease in pressure would result in a decrease in flow rate.
